This is a fantastic activity to use up any painter’s tape you have left over from your last room redo. Lay tape down on the floor in a pattern of intersecting lines (like a spider web), and have your child navigate across it. Walking across the narrow tape line works on balance and core strength, while navigating the route works on motor planning, visual-motor integration, and body awareness.
You can also lay tape across a hallway to make your own spy-movie-esque laser maze. Challenge creativity by having your child help you set up the tape and get a little extra fine motor work by ripping it.
